WoW Forever Dungeon Order: Which Dungeon to Run at Every Level (13–30)

Dungeons open at level 13 in WoW Forever, and the beta lets you reach level 30. That's enough room for about ten dungeons you can realistically level through, and the order matters: run them when your level matches their range and you get better XP, better drops and fewer wipes. This is the order we'd run them in, with what each one is worth.

Everything below comes from the current beta (level cap 30), including the drop chances, so details may change before launch on November 4. There's no automatic dungeon finder, so you'll build groups in chat. To see which dungeons fit your level right now, use the Dungeon Finder.

The order at a glance

Level ranges are the minimum and the level where the dungeon stops being worth your time. For a full list including dungeons above 30, see dungeons by level.

Levels 13–20: your first dungeons

Ragefire Chasm is the Horde's first dungeon, right under Orgrimmar. Its best beta drops come from Taragaman the Hungerer (Crystalline Cuffs, Subterranean Cape) and Jergosh the Invoker (Robe of Evocation, Cavedweller Bracers).

Hall of Thanes is new in Forever and sits in Ironforge. Faldrim Anvilmar drops Spiritwraith Drape and Ephemeral Choker, and Plunder drops the Golemheart Stave.

Ruins of Lordaeron is also new and opens at 15. Rath'mael drops the Mirror of Rath'mael at about 40%, and The Abandoned drops Rotmender's Leggings at about 39%.

Levels 15–26: Wailing Caverns and the Deadmines

Wailing Caverns is long, but it has some of the best drop chances in the whole 13–30 range. Lord Cobrahn's Robe of the Moccasin and Lord Pythas's Armor of the Fang both drop at over 50% in the beta, and Skum's Glowing Lizardscale Cloak does too.

The Deadmines is a classic gear stop. Sneed drops Gold-flecked Gloves almost 70% of the time, and Mr. Smite drops a pair of one-handed weapons, the Thief's Blade and Smite's Reaver.

Levels 20–33: the mid-twenties

Shadowfang Keep has some of the highest drop chances in the 13–30 range: Rethilgore's Rugged Spaulders drop 86% of the time, and Odo the Blindwatcher's Girdle of the Blindwatcher over 65%. Archmage Arugal at the end drops Robes of Arugal and the Belt of Arugal.

Blackfathom Deeps and The Stockade both open at 24. Blackfathom has the better loot table, with Twilight Lord Kelris's Rod of the Sleepwalker above 56%. The Stockade is the Alliance's city dungeon in Stormwind.

Excavation Site is new in the Wetlands. Saltspine drops Supple Bellyskin Leggings, and the Relic Guardian drops Reliquary Mantle and the Golemsight Long Gun.

City of Dalaran is the restored city dungeon in the Alterac Mountains, new in Forever. It's the highest-level new dungeon in this range.

At the cap: levels 29–30

Right at the beta's level cap, Gnomeregan, Razorfen Kraul and the Scarlet Monastery Graveyard open at 29–30. They're worth running once you're at 30, but the dungeons above are the ones you'll level through.

What to skip

Nothing is truly skippable, but two rules save time:

• Don't run a dungeon above its range. At level 30 a Wailing Caverns run is mostly wasted time.
• Run the new dungeons first if you play both factions. Hall of Thanes, Ruins of Lordaeron, Excavation Site and Dalaran all give fresh gear that the Classic dungeons don't.
