Leveling gear tips
- Your weapon matters most while leveling, especially for melee classes. Replace it first.
- Run each dungeon once or twice when you reach its level: the first bosses drop gear you can wear right away.
- Set pieces from Wailing Caverns and the Deadmines give extra bonuses for wearing several pieces together.
- Crafting fills the slots dungeons miss. See the professions guide for what each one makes.

FAQ
Where do you get gear while leveling in WoW Forever?
Mostly from dungeons. Each boss has a few rare (blue) drops, and in the beta 10 dungeons between level 13 and 30 drop 118 different rare items. Quest rewards and crafted gear fill the gaps.
What is the first dungeon for gear in WoW Forever?
Ragefire Chasm in Orgrimmar for the Horde and the new Hall of Thanes in Ironforge for the Alliance, both from level 13. Their bosses drop bracers, cloaks and weapons you can wear right away.
Are there gear sets while leveling?
Yes. Wailing Caverns drops the Embrace of the Viper leather set and the Deadmines drops the Defias Leather set. 7 set pieces are in the current list.
Will these drops change at launch?
They can. Drop chances and stats come from the beta and may be tuned before launch. We'll update the list when the game launches and more dungeons open.
