Last Epoch Season 5: Rage of the Frostborn Overview

Release

Season 5, Rage of the Frostborn, launched on 1 October 2026 at 9 AM PT. It is Eleventh Hour Games' fifth season and follows Season 4: Shattered Omens, which began in March 2026. Seasonal characters start at level 1 and nothing carries over from the previous season.

Seasonal mechanic: Rage of Morditas

A kill-speed event runs through the campaign and endgame Echoes, granting buffs and Bloodrage Charges. A tracker leads to the new pinnacle boss, Morditas. See the full Rage of Morditas guide.

New skills

• Paladin: Radiant Lance, a shield-based channeled Holy beam.
• Bladedancer: Dreamslash.
• Shaman: Summon Tide Elemental.

Faction reworks

• Merchant's Guild adds price suggestions and automatic price-lowering settings.
• Circle of Fortune redesigns prophecy rerolling so you can choose exact rewards, with more options at higher ranks.

Items

The season adds 16 new unique items and 2 new set items. Chase items include Death Dance, Eternal Font and Gift of the Eidolon, plus new subtypes like the Veinweave Belt.

Studio news

Founder Judd Cobler stepped back from the Game Director role and Mike Weicker took over. The Orobyss expansion is targeted for 2027.
