WoW Forever Beta Feedback: What Players Are Asking Blizzard to Change
The main WoW Forever beta feedback: Skyborne druid forms, layering, slower 1-20 leveling and quest rewards, what Blizzard will adjust, and what Phase 2 adds.
By TopBuilds Team
The WoW Forever beta has been running for a few weeks, and a handful of topics keep coming up in player feedback. This page collects them in one place, notes what Blizzard has said it will adjust, and explains what Phase 2 added. It is current as of 17 October 2026.
The main feedback topics
Skyborne design. Reactions to the Skyborne race and its visual style are mixed. Some players compare it to the Kyrians, others would have preferred a race already established in Warcraft's story.
Druid forms. Skyborne druid bear and cat forms are the most specific complaint. One suggestion on the official forums asks for an optional alternate look with classic bear and cat silhouettes in Skyborne colors and feather accents, available at the barbershop or through a druid quest chain. The argument is that the current forms look like owlbear and owlcat hybrids and clash with the classic look of Forever. Other players say most of the zone fits well and the forms do not stand out much. Blizzard has said it is taking a closer look at the high-fidelity look of druid forms.
Layering. Blizzard has acknowledged that layering bugs have been widespread.
Leveling speed. According to Blizzard's analytics, leveling from 1 to 20 is slightly slower in Forever than in Era.
Quest rewards. Blizzard plans to scale back some of the higher-tier gear rewards from quests.
Campfires. The campfire system has led to a lot of socializing between players.
What Phase 2 added
- Level cap raised to 30, with familiar zones such as Hillsbrad Foothills and Stonetalon Mountains.
- 10 additional talent points to spend on class trees, which changes how every class plays at the new cap.
- Two familiar dungeons are now accessible.
- A new battleground.
- Two all-new dungeons: Excavation Site: Wetlands and the City of Dalaran. The Dalaran dungeon has been delayed.
Beta and stress test timing
The beta runs through October 21 and wraps up early on October 22. A free public stress test takes place on Monday, October 19. If you do not have beta access, the stress test is the one way to try the game before launch. Our stress test guide covers start times by region and how to install it, and the beta access guide explains what happens to characters afterwards.
How to make your feedback count
- Use the survey in the Battle.net launcher. Blizzard asks testers not to share the survey links or content.
- Post specific, reproducible issues on the official beta forum instead of general complaints.
- Name the class, level and zone for every bug report. Layering and druid form issues are easier to act on with details.
Blizzard has also been removing beta players with inappropriate character names, so pick yours with care.
